India: Biogas Digesters and Vericompost Project

The project provides over 500 rural families with biogas digesters and vermicompost units (vermicomposting is the use of worms to break down organic waste into compost) so they can meet their energy needs through the methanisation of animal waste and the production of compost for farming. The bio gas digesters will replace the traditional inefficient firewood stove and reduce indoor air pollution.
